Abstract

After the elections on July 6, the inhabitants of Mexico City will finally have a head of government belonging to an opposition party and the Assembly of Representatives will meet with a majority that does not belong to the PRI, all this as a result of a fair electoral process. However, the discussion on the election of political delegates, that is, of the local or municipal government, is still ongoing, as it was a century ago; as well as the definition of its attributions and, therefore, of its relations with the levels of government of the entity and the federation.
