Antigua Guatemala and the medina of Fez in front to tourism and the staging of daily life

The listing of many cities as World Heritage has allowed the rescue of their ancient buildings and the recognition of their cultural expressions. Tourism has increased in these cities. As a consequence, there are many adjustments in economic policies and urban policies, often in favor of foreign capital and forcing the displacement of the original inhabitants. This work aims to review the evolution of the urban configuration in Antigua, Guatemala, and the medina of Fez. It also compares demography, urban policies, and forms of eating and inhabiting the city.References
