In 1991, the University of North Carolina, under the responsibility of Feagin, Orum and Sjoberg, published a series of eight essays related to the nature and use of the case study in North American sociology applied to the understanding of cities.This anthology includes everything from a review of the text "Middletown" (written in the 1930s), to the analysis of the "homeless" in Austin, through the comparison of two intermediate cities ( Houston and Austin), the transformation of the Presbyterian church in Mendocino, California, feminism and family studies, and a methodological recommendation to be used in criminal sociology...
