Abstract

The book Plaza de la República is a publication of the Government of the Federal District where the restoration project of the Monument to the Revolution and the transformation and rehabilitation of the Plaza de la República are presented. Carried out for the Commemoration of the Bicentennial of Independence, the project is part of one of the most successful public policies applied by the Government of the Federal District, which constitutes the recovery of public space as a fundamental element to achieve an improvement in the quality of life. of the population in two fundamental aspects: the increase in spaces for social coexistence and security with intensive use and the elimination of sources of crime in some of the most degraded public spaces in the city.
