The Historic Center of Mexico City has been the object for more than 10 years of one of the most ambitious revitalizations in its long history. On August 14, 2001, the Consultative Council of the Historic Center was established, a consultation and promotion body for its rescue and preservation. Thus, through the collaboration of the local and federal governments, academia, the private sector and civil society, actions have been carried out for the revitalization of the area.Since then, numerous artistic and cultural spaces have proliferated in the Regina quadrant, one of the priority areas for revitalization, consolidating itself as an important enclave for this type of space. This paper analyzes some of the socio-spatial effects of this urban phenomenon in the Regina area, in the Historic Center. Some of the effects identified include heritage, centrality, quality of keying, and gentrification.
