This article is based on a listening experience by the author from his studio, in the city of Paris, France, during a residency in 2024. The apartment is located in the center of Paris, on an avenue adjacent to the Seine River, where the intermittent sounds of vehicular traffic forced him to perform listening exercises to be able to distinguish other everyday sounds veiled by noise, in order to then be able to contrast them with other listening experiences that were carried out outside this space. The article is structured as an analytical listening diary, based on a system developed by the author in previous essays, and considering a time frame that is divided into two, before and after the 2024 Olympics. In the end, the author makes a critical reflection on public policies, as well as the psychological experience of adaptation he had, opening a new field of ideas.References
