Evaluation process

The originals of the research articles presented will go through an evaluation process that consists of three phases. Essays and book reviews will only do so for the first phase.

      · First phase

The Editorial Committee of the AEUHCD will carry out two internal review processes: one technical and the other thematic. With the first, compliance with three aspects is considered: a) that the authors have not published in the immediately preceding number; b) that editorial standards are met (general and specific aspects); c) that all non-original content is referenced (review through similarity detection software). In the second, aspects related to the topic (originality, topicality and relevance to the magazine) are valued. The result of these two processes defines the essays and reviews that will be included in the publication, as well as the articles that pass to the second phase of evaluation.

The AEUHCD reserves the right to make any editorial changes deemed appropriate.

The result of this first phase of the evaluation will be final.

      · Second stage

Based on the double-blind peer review model, each of the research articles approved in the first phase of the evaluation will be sent to two specialists in the subject, who will issue an academic content opinion. In the event that one of the opinions is negative, it will be sent to a third party so that, with its resolution, the controversy is resolved.

The dictation will consist of the evaluation of formal aspects, structure and content.

The result of this second phase of the evaluation will be final.

      · Third phase
The Editorial Committee of the AEUHCD will verify compliance with the observations of the opinions in each of the research articles accepted in the previous phase.

The result of this third phase of the evaluation will be final.
