Abstract

Thought from a perspective of more than 30 years, the city of Resistencia has incorporated, as part of its urban landscape -as well as the sculptures-, a variable group of boys begging in bars and cafes, and/or working as shiners, newsboys, vendors and other marginal occupations.Visitors and occasional passers-by inevitably commented on the non-existence of this phenomenon in their places of origin, particularly the mass of native observers from the capital. On the other hand, this group varied, both by time of year, and from one year to the next, following apparently unpredictable rhythms.
