Editorial criteria for Research Articles

  1. A summary of 150 words, in Spanish, English and Portuguese, specifying the importance of the work, its scope, contributions and particular aspects. With single line spacing, in Arial 11 points, regular.
  2. Three keywords (in Spanish, English and Portuguese) that express the main concepts or ideas of the article.
  3. The length of the article should be between 7 thousand and 10 thousand words. 
  4. The APA model (American Psychological Association) will be used for the citation of sources within the text; that is to say: last name of the author, year and page; written in parentheses. Example: (Dussel, 2001, p.47). In case of using the paraphrase, the reference will be kept as follows: (Dussel, 2001).   5. All authors cited in the body of the text must match the list of references in the bibliography. An author who has not been cited in the text should never be referenced.
  6. Verbatim citations of less than 40 words must be placed within the text, between double quotation marks, without indentation, with their corresponding reference (last name, year: page number(s)).
  7. Verbatim citations that exceed 40 words should be placed without quotation marks, indented 1 cm. to the left and to the right, in Arial 10 points, single spaced, with its corresponding reference (last name, year: page number(s)).
  8. Footnotes will be used only for explanatory notes and not for bibliographical references. The notes must have Arabic numerals, single line spacing, without indentation, with 10-point Arial font and justified margin.
  9. The bibliographic references of the cited works will be integrated at the end of the text, in alphabetical order, with 11-point Arial font, single spaced without indentation.
  10. Tables, graphs and images must be integrated into the text, with their respective footer. They must also be sent separately, with the format specified in the following points. Its reference within the body of the text must be by numbering and not by its location. Also, include the reference of the source or author(s).
  11. Tables and graphs, in Microsoft Excel format, must be numbered using the Roman system (Table/Graph I, II, III, IV...).
  12. The images (maps, plans and photographs) will be numbered with the Arabic system (Figure 1, 2, 3, 4...) in jpg, tiff or png format at a minimum of 300 dpi (dots per inch).
  13. Regarding the acronyms, the complete equivalence of those used in the text, in the bibliography, in the tables, quotes and graphs must be provided (at least the first time).

Articles that do not meet the aforementioned requirements will not be considered for the ruling process.
