Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.- Research articles, essays and book reviews submitted to the ANUARIO DE ESPACIOS URBANOS, HISTORIA, CULTURA Y DISEÑO (AEUHCD) for publication, must be unpublished and not be simultaneously submitted to an opinion in another publication. It will be a requirement that they attach the commitment letter formats, transfer of rights and general data, duly signed.
- Research articles, essays and book reviews must be submitted in their final and complete version, since no changes will be accepted once the arbitration and production process has begun.
- The research articles must be of an eminently scientific-academic nature. The minimum structure of the work will include an introduction that clearly reflects the background of the work, its object of study, the objective and, mainly, the delimitation of the problem; in the development, discussion and theoretical-methodological argumentation with which the problem is answered; and in the conclusions, the results of the investigation and its contribution to the theoretical discussion and approach to the problem.
- The essays are structured in introduction, development and conclusion, without neglecting the expository-argumentative aspects that support the critical reflection and position that is exposed.
- All contributions will be accepted in Spanish, English and Portuguese.
- The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines below.
RESEARCH ARTICLES
Works related to theoretical research, methodological proposals and results of academic projects, the articles that constitute the substantive part of the journal, must have solid and relevant theoretical and methodological bases, and adjust to the guidelines of the journal. These are completely unpublished texts, prepared by specialists from any institution, and whose length will not exceed 10 thousand words. Manuscripts are evaluated by two anonymous reviewers through a double-blind system (see peer review process).
ESSAYS
Estão incluídas reflexões teóricas sobre temas relacionados ao interesse da revista. Devem ter entre 5.000 e 6.000 palavras e estar de acordo com as diretrizes da revista.
INTERVIEW
Conversations with specialists in the urban field are included and, due to their importance, they deserve to be disseminated through a scientific journal. They must comply with the rules for publication, and the favorable opinion of a member of the Editorial Committee is required (see peer review process).
TRIBUTE
The tributes give an account of the life and work of specialists of recognized prestige in the topics of the journal and that, due to their importance, deserve to be disseminated through a scientific journal. It must comply with the rules for publication, and the favorable opinion of a member of the Editorial Committee is required (see peer review process).
CRITICAL NOTES
The notes are texts that contain methodological or illustrative value of cases of application of research processes. The comments are reflections and supported opinions regarding published articles. In all cases, these are unpublished texts, which must comply with the regulations for publication, and the favorable opinion of a member of the Editorial Committee is required (see peer review process).
REVIEWS
Comments are included on recent publications that, due to their relevance, deserve to be disseminated through a specialized magazine. They are critical reviews of books published on the topics of interest of the magazine. In addition to synthesizing the content of the publication, they must reflect on the contributions to the state of the art of the existing literature, as well as highlight the contributions to knowledge on the subject. They must comply with the rules for publication, must not exceed 3,000 words, and will be submitted to an opinion of a member of the Editorial Committee, which must be favorable (see peer review process).
DOSSIER "5 YEARS AFTER THE POLITICAL CONSTITUTION OF MEXICO CITY"
A reflective and analytical panorama is presented on some of its effects, impacts and imprints in its first five years through three thematic axes: the Constitution and human rights in the city, the challenges of the city since the Constitution and the Constitution and city planning.
Copyright Notice
The authors grant the AEUHCD permission for their material to be disseminated in the magazine and digital media. The patrimonial rights of the research articles, essays and book reviews published in AEUHCD are transferred to the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana, after academic and editorial acceptance of the original so that it can be published and distributed both in printed and electronic versions; the authors retain their moral rights as established by law. The authors will receive a letter of transfer of economic rights that must be signed. On the other hand, the authors may use the material of their text in other works or books published by themselves, with the condition of citing the AEUHCD as the original source of the research. It is the responsibility of the authors to obtain in writing the corresponding authorization for all the material that they include in their work and that is protected by the Copyright Law.
